Invitation to Wings of Hope Gathering 2019 – Inspiring Hope

WINGS of Hope Gathering 2018

WINGS of Hope would like to invite you to the WINGS of Hope Gathering, taking place on Saturday 23rd November 2019 at 11am in Balmoral.

The purpose of intimate, public event is to bring together the bereaved by suicide in our community, to remind those bereaved that they are not alone in their loss and to inspire hope. This special ceremony honours and remembers our loved ones lost to suicide. This annual event is a collaboration between WINGS of Hope and the Centre for Intense Grief’s Director, Dr Diana Sands, and is attended by friends, supporters and Committee members. The Gathering is registered as part of the AFSP’s global initiative “International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day”.

During the gathering, Diana will guide guests to write their loved ones’ name onto a small stone and place it under our sacred eucalyptus tree, planted by WINGS of Hope many years ago. You may also cast a flower into the water as a gesture of love and remembrance.
